In order to maximize the participation of the poker players, the World Series of Poker have decided to conduct all the signature events of 2017 during the weekends.
The 48th WSOP events will be taking place from May 30 to July 17 and all signature events have been arranged to be held during the weekends. This is a very good move by the WSOP think tank as this will boost the poker player participation in the WSOP events.
This year the WSOP will be returning to the popular Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas and there will be six straight weeks of events at this wonderful hotel and casino. The events include daily deep stack tournaments, golden bracelet events, cash games, and satellites. The entries recorded for all these events totaled to 53,727.
The world’s largest live poker event, according to the WSOP, will be the re-entry, no-limit hold’em Colossus III. It will take place from 2nd to 4th of June this year and will carry guaranteed $1 million prize money and allows one re-entry per flight. This will be followed by the Millionaire Maker event on June 10th and 11th with one million dollar prize money for the first place.
There is a $1,500 No-Limit hold’em Tournament included in the schedule and this will take place on June 17. Poking enthusiasts over 50 years can take part in the seniors’ event with single re-entry during the open registration period. There is also a Super Seniors No-Limit hold’em tournament scheduled for the senior people of over 65 years of age. The seniors and super senior events will take place on June 16 and 18 respectively.
The main event will be taking place from July 8 to July 10 and players can use credit cards to make payments this year for the WSOP tournaments.
